2025 Porsche 911 GT3 Spied 👀

Weekly Newsletter #3

2025 Porsche 911 GT3 992.2

Porsche has nailed down their 911 formula for success, so expect minor improvements compared to the current 992.1 variant.

One of those updates includes Porsche’s new all digital dashboard as seen in this CarSpyMedia video below. The current model has an analog center tachometer that all Porsche purists will be upset about if Porsche truly replaces it with an all digital display.

All major car manufacturers are going the all digital route since over-the-air updates makes it easy to refresh and update the interface.

This also means, Porsche is one step closer electrifying their sport cars.

The 1073 hp Porsche Mission R promises a bright future, although it’s hard to replace the raw sounds of a 9,000 rpm screaming machine.

The gear heads in 100-years might be downloading exhaust sound clips to flash into their 2000hp Tesla. Just check out this muscle powered Tesla Model 3 by enginevox 😑.

Straights vs Curves
Opinion Piece

0-60 times have been dropping faster than a New Year's resolution at a donut shop. With the introduction of EV’s and their insane torque allowing for sub 3 second 0-60 times, now you can get gapped by a soccer mom in a Rivian while you’re left wondering about your burble tune. All jokes aside, the numbers don’t lie. Channels like CarWow have been fueling the appetite for drag races, accumulating millions of views per video.

Whenever the Tesla Roadster does go into production, Elon Musk has promised a 0-60 time of 1.9 seconds. It’s only a matter of time before the car launches itself and reaction time is a thing of the past.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty exhilarating to drag race here and there but it seems like straight line performance is becoming the most important factor for some enthusiasts.

Track rats and mountain/canyon weekend warriors still know the truth. It’s one thing to go fast in a straight line but it’s another thing when you hit the first corner. True performance is a balance of more than just power and torque.

If you live in one of these dark spots in the country, I feel bad for you (looking at you Florida). You have to travel pretty far to see any curvy roads. That is unless you have the option or ability to hit the track at some fantastic circuits nearby.

Me @ Charlotte Motor Speedway

If you don’t know where to start check out MotorsportReg to find a nearby event. The Sports Car Club of America hosts Track Night in America throughout the country, and how I got my feet wet. HPDE or high-performance driver education sessions are great since you get a dedicated coach in your passenger seat helping you learn the track. Check out my HPDE at Virginia International Raceway below:

In summary, if the “car scene” or “car culture” in your area simply means Cars & Coffee, car meets or “street takeovers”, then checkout the links above or look for a local driving club and turn your steering wheel for once. Who knows, it might take your car passion to a whole new level.

Hitting the Track Too Expensive? Try Karting 🏎

If it’s good enough for F1 drivers it’s good enough for you and your friends. Karting is a good way to experience a controlled racing environment without the risk of damaging your vehicle or spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on consumables like brakes and tires.

Great spec and not having the buckets on the Touring model is acceptable. Manual transmission and the wheels 😼‍💹. Call Hendrick Porsche in Charlotte and ask for Elliott Hall. Tell him GRIP sent you for the best deal.
